LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FOR CAPT. TOM CARNEY
To Whom It May Concern:
Captain Tom Carney performed as the skipper of the Pilot Boat for the San Diego Pilots from June 1992 through March
1993.
The Pilot Boat is a 52-foot, single screw vessel that he operated solo to embark and disembark the Harbor Pilots
on ships transiting the San Diego channel. The job entails close quarters maneuvering and controlled contact with
the ships. An error by the pilot boat operator could result in injury or death to a pilot.
Captain Carney is a skilled boat operator in all types of weather conditions and performed his job very well.
